How to stop worrying and to be proactive- part one

Imagine a very large circle. You are in the middle. The floor is laid with rocks. Your task is to clear rocks of as much area as possible.

There smaller rocks that you can lift are in the centre. And as you move away from the middle the rocks become larger and at a certain distance from the centre they are so large you can't lift them. Draw a second smaller circle there.

Now everything within the larger circle is your concern (in your mind you have to clear all those rocks). And the smaller circle is also within the area of your concern, but it also called circle of your influence.

There is no use trying to lift the rocks you can't lift. There's no use to even spend time sweating about them. The trick is to identify those large rocks in your way so that you can focus on the tasks you're in control of.

Effective people spend most of the time within the circle of influence.
And when you spend more time within circle of your influence, it will become larger, and the circle of concern (and no influence) smaller.
